Call For Entries for the 2016 Founders Day Community Parade

Saturday, November 12th, at 9:00 a.m.

The City of Rancho Cucamonga is now accepting applications for entries in the City's Founders Day Community Parade, presented by Mark Christopher Auto Center on Saturday, November 12th, at 9:00 a.m. The parade route will begin at Day Creek and Foothill Boulevard, then continue south to Jack Benny Drive and conclude at the Rancho Cucamonga Epicenter.

Typical entries include small floats and themed marching units, and each must have a banner that identifies the group. All participants must be uniformed, costumed, or dressed to represent the parade theme. Awards will be handed out for categories like Best Representation of Theme, Most Spirited, Most Participation, and Best Overall Float. The coveted Founders Award will be presented to the group that best embodies the spirit of the day.

Applications are available online at www.RCpark.com, and the deadline for entry is Monday, October 17th. Participation is free and the City encourages businesses, schools, youth groups, and other organizations to apply. All groups must be approved and pre-registered to participate.
