Special Olympics IncredABLES Soccer Program a Success...Up Next, Bocce!

An IncredABLE New Sport is Rolling Into Town

The inaugural season of the IncredABLES Southern California Local Program was a huge success. A total of nine athletes participated this fall, making it one of the best in the Inland Empire.

Under the coaching expertise of Bernie Lilavois, President and Head Coach of the Ontario Fury, three of those athletes competed in the Southern California Regional Competition. Two of them earned individual golds in their age brackets. Program leaders are excited for the spring season in light of that success and hope more citizens, like you, will join in the fun.

Local IncredABLES will be training in Bocce this February, thanks to a generous donation from the Rancho Cucamonga City Employees Association (RCCEA). This game of strategy and skill will give the athletes a chance to master a new challenge. The IncredABLES would love for you to join them. There are plenty of opportunities to become an athlete, coach, or volunteer.

Local Special Olympics programs are an official extension of Special Olympics: Southern California, which provides opportunities for individuals with intellectual disabilities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy, and develop friendships along the way. Regional competitions offered across each county give IncredABLES athletes the chance to compete and show off their skills.
