Youth Leaders: Creating Change in RC
The Healthy RC Youth Leaders program is now accepting applications for middle and high school students. Students (ages 13-18 years) have the opportunity to actively and meaningfully participate in local issues that affect their health, their peers, and their families. Students meet twice a month at City Hall and engage in workshops and trainings to enhance leadership and communication skills, deepen their understanding of public policy and local governmental processes, and build their capacity to improve the health and wellness of the city. As a result, youth have been instrumental in helping to inform and shape critical policies that improve quality of life in Rancho Cucamonga.
