Fire District Open House
Join us on Saturday, October 13th from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Jersey Fire Station
Did you know cooking is the leading cause of home fires and home-fire injuries? Each year, firefighters nationwide respond to an average of 170,200 home structure fires involving cooking equipment, according to the National Fire Protection Association. With several close calls here in Rancho Cucamonga, the Fire District agrees that cooking-related fires continue to be a problem. The Fire District invites you to an Open House in honor of Fire Prevention Week where more information will be shared on this alarming statistic, as well as tips on how to keep you and your family safe in the home!
Join us on Saturday, October 13th from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Jersey Fire Station and All Risk Training Center (corner of Milliken Ave. and Jersey Blvd.) for a fun-filled day of educational safety activities and more. Throughout the day, firefighters will be demonstrating things such as the Jaws of Life, simulated rescues with rappelling, live firefighting and much more! Families can enjoy interactive displays and lots of giveaways, while kids can dress up like firefighters and have their picture taken by a fire engine. This year we're kicking things off with a pancake breakfast, beginning at 9 a.m. Subscribe to the Open House event on the Fire District's Facebook page for updates on planned activities!
