Electric Vehicle (EV) Readiness Plan
Accelerating Electric Vehicle infrastructure in Rancho Cucamonga.
The City of Rancho Cucamonga is in the process of developing an Electric Vehicle (EV) Readiness Plan (Plan). The Plan will be a comprehensive outline of electric vehicle readiness strategies, particularly for workforce and multi-family locations, in Rancho Cucamonga. It will also support regional collaboration for reducing emissions through the adoption of electric vehicles and infrastructure. The City’s Healthy RC Program will implement the project and conduct surveys to solicit community input. The City was previously awarded the "Plug-In Vehicle (PEV) Ready" Community designation by the Southern California Council of Governments and Southern California Edison. Through the Healthy RC Initiative, those efforts continue through strategic planning and community input.
The City’s Sustainable Community Action Plan, passed in April 2017, serves as roadmap for sustainability efforts. Healthy RC strives towards a greener, cleaner Rancho Cucamonga by adopting policies and implementing programs and strategies that advance environmental sustainability in the community and in City operations.
